For Best Experience
Welcome to FFVII: Reclaimed

This is not a game with rules. It is not a chatbot. It is not a choose-your-own-adventure with preset branches. It is a living world that writes itself around you.

You set the stage — the place, the people, the tone. An AI narrator takes it from there, reacting to every action, every choice, every direction you push. Characters have lives. Consequences unfold. Nothing is scripted.

Below is everything this engine can do. Tap any section to open it.

30Named Characters
168Locations
44Regions
Setting Up Your World
World Name

Just for you — it labels your save file.

World Prompt

The world is already built — this is how you nudge it. Set the tone, setting, and genre you want to lean into and the narrator shapes things around it. A light touch is enough; you don’t have to describe the whole world yourself.

Your Character

Who are you on the Planet? Name, bio, and a 1:1 (square) facial portrait — it sits beside your health bar at the bottom. The character you name is removed from the relationship panel — the world treats you as that person.

Lore Files

Upload .txt files of anything you want the narrator to treat as established fact — backstory, rules, extra people or places. Heads up: everything here is fed to the AI, so the more you load, the more tokens each turn costs. Whenever you can, add characters and locations right inside the engine instead — it’s easier, cheaper, cleaner, and only loads them when they’re actually in the scene.

Character Images

This World Engine ships with built-in portraits for its characters. Want your own look? Load a folder of images named after your characters and locations and they override the defaults. Anything named and mentioned in the story appears in the portrait window automatically (1200×1800 / 2:3 is the ideal fit).

Sounds

Load your own sound effects, ambience, and background music into the slots provided — score the Planet however you like.

Difficulty

Sets how forgiving or brutal the world is — Assisted gives you breathing room, Legendary does not.

The World: A Full Cast & Map

FFVII: Reclaimed comes pre-built with 30 named characters — AVALANCHE, Shinra’s executives and Turks, and the faces of the Planet — each with their own personality, look, bonds, and likes/dislikes, drawn from the lore.

And 168 hand-built, interconnected locations across 44 regions — Midgar’s plate and slums, Kalm, the mines and marshes, Junon, Cosmo Canyon, and far beyond. The narrator knows all of them and brings the right faces and places into your scenes naturally. You never have to introduce them — but you can build your own too.

Characters Panel & Relationships

The Characters panel tracks the full built-in cast and everyone you meet along the way. Each carries a Bond meter and a Romance meter that shift with how you treat them — the narrator moves them as the story earns it, and you can nudge the sliders yourself.

Likes & Dislikes

Every character has things they like and things they don’t. Gift or act in line with a like and their bond ticks up; hit a dislike and it slips — small, fine nudges layered on top of the bigger swings your overall conduct earns. Open a character’s bio to see them.

Emergent & Canon

People you meet in play appear under Emergent (collapsible). Hit ★ Canonize to make one a permanent cast member across every future story.

Adding & Editing Characters
+ Add a Character

Build someone from scratch — name, physical description, bio, likes, dislikes, and extra notes — and they drop straight into your cast. No need to meet them in-world or write a lore file. Tick “not met yet” to plant them quietly so they turn up when the story reaches them (or when you name them).

📖 View Bio

Open any character’s full live profile at any time — portrait, bond/romance, appearance, bio, notes, likes and dislikes, exactly as they stand right now.

✎ Edit (this story)

Tweak a character’s physical description, bio, or likes/dislikes — Replace what’s there or Append to it. Edits apply to the current story only (they ride along if you compress-continue). Reset reverts to default, Export saves the profile as a .txt.

Locations, Fast Travel & Residents

The Locations panel lists every place, grouped into regions you can expand.

Fast Travel

Click any location and Travel to — the narrator moves the scene there instantly and picks up where that place would.

+ Add a Location

Build your own place — name, description, and a safety tier. It joins your map for this story.

✎ Edit & “Who Lives Here”

Rewrite a location’s description for this story, and tag which met characters are based there. When you visit, those characters are present and the narrator treats the place as their home.

Safe Zones (automatic)

Safety follows wherever you are. Three tiers:

Safe Haven

A town, inn, or secure refuge. Danger is off, and you can Rest to fully recover.

Semi-Safe

Calmer ground — the world holds danger back, but it isn’t gone. No full rest.

Unsafe

Out in the field. Anything can happen.

Health & The Honor System

This app runs on trust. The narrator tells you when things happen — when you’re hit, when you find relief, when you reach safety — and it’s on you to reflect it.

Hurt

Press when the story injures you. Two hits before you go down; then the narrator writes the moment and brings you back at your home base.

Heal

Recover one level at a believable beat — a potion, patching up, catching your breath. Won’t exceed your max.

Rest

A genuine safe point fully heals you and resets the escalation baseline.

Nobody’s watching. But the story is richer when the mechanics match what’s happening.

Tone Buttons (your delivery)

Type your action, then press a tone button to send it wrapped in an emotional delivery — Flirty, Heartfelt, Angry, Silly, Scared, Confident, Sad, Happy, Aggressive, and more. The tone button is your send button; it colours how your character says or does the thing. Pick the one that matches your headspace.

Narrator Nudges

Steer the narrator without typing: Slow Down, Speed Up, Heat Up, Cool Down, More Dialogue, More Action, More Detail, Surprise Me. Fire one alone, or alongside a typed action — if you type and nudge, both send together.

The Top Row

The highlighted row does the heavy lifting: New Character (introduce someone new), Offer Options (hand you choices), Trigger Event (make something happen), and Random (roll the dice and surprise you).

The Two Continue Buttons
Continue (in-game)

On the story page, Continue advances the scene with no input from you — let the narrator keep going, let the world breathe, let time pass.

Continue (New / Load page)

On the story-select page, Continue starts a fresh story that carries the compressed memory of your most recent one — a clean slate that still remembers who you are and what happened. Perfect for opening a new chapter without losing your history.

Compress

When the token warning appears, compress. The narrator condenses everything so far into a tight summary and continues from there. Your chat history stays fully intact — only the narrator’s working memory is condensed. It keeps API costs low and sessions smooth; think of it as saving progress. Your per-story character and location edits ride along through a compress.

Export Your Story

This is the one you’ll come back for. Export saves your entire run as a clean, readable text document — every narrator passage and every choice you made, formatted like a finished story. The story you lived, captured and kept.

Archive a campaign, share a session, or hold on to the run that hit different. Individual characters and locations export as their own tidy profile files too — perfect for carrying someone into a future world, story, or save.

Story Studio

Open Story Studio from the top of the story screen to build and edit your world visually — no files to hand-write. Lay out characters with their looks, bios, and likes, place locations, and drop in lore, all in one panel that saves itself as you type.

Share & Load Worlds

Export your build as a .mmworld pack to keep or pass around. To play one, open the Studio, choose “Open / edit a file,” then “Save & Start Story.” Browse ready-made worlds on the hub’s Studio Saves page.

Save & Load

💾 Save writes your whole run — story, characters, locations, and progress — to a .mmsave file on your device. 📂 Load brings it back any time, right where you left off. Nothing is stored on our end; your save lives only on your machine.

Web Export — Share Your Session

Hit 🌐 Web Export to save a session as a shareable file. Email it in and we post the best runs on the hub’s Session Exports page — rendered just like the engine, so others can read the story you lived.

My Notebook

Your private notepad (tucked below Locations). The narrator never sees it. Track clues, threads, and relationships — and if the narrator ever drifts from something you established, paste a reminder from here into your next message to pull it back on track.

Regenerate

Not feeling the last response? Regenerate re-rolls it — same moment, fresh take. Your input stays; the narrator simply tries again. Use it when a reply misses the tone or goes somewhere you didn’t want.

Compatibility

MarrowMyth is designed and optimized for Grok. Differences in behaviour, output quality, or experience on other models or providers are expected and stem from that intended compatibility.

One Last Thing

There is no wrong way to play this. Be a hero, a merc, a villain, a ghost. Follow the story or drag it somewhere no one expected. Play five minutes or five hours.

Now stop reading and start playing.

Content & Safety

This is an 18+ interactive fiction engine. Depending on your own inputs and your chosen AI provider, stories may include intense violence, strong language, and other mature themes. The engine itself does not produce or push such content — it is generated by your chosen provider in response to what you write, and is your responsibility. Every character depicted is entirely fictional and is an adult aged 18 or older.

Everything the narrator writes is AI-generated fiction produced in response to your input. It can be inaccurate, unexpected, or objectionable; it does not reflect the views of MarrowMyth or F.C. Marrow; and it is intended for personal entertainment only. You direct the story and are responsible for how you use it.

You supply your own AI-provider API key, and it — along with your worlds, saved stories, and all other content — stays only in your own browser and any files you choose to export. We keep no accounts and run no servers that store it: your key and your stories are never transmitted to or saved by us. Your AI requests go directly to your chosen provider and are governed by that provider’s own terms and acceptable-use policies. This engine is provided as-is, without warranty, and MarrowMyth and F.C. Marrow accept no liability for generated content or its use.

Display & Reading

Tune how the story looks and how long each response runs.

Your World

This is where you make the world your own. Add your character, your cast, places, and lore. Everything you add is placed on top of this engine's world — it never changes or replaces what is already here, and it all stays on your device.

2 · Already have a file?

Got a .mmworld pack from before, or one someone shared? Upload it here and it loads straight in — character, cast, places, and lore at once. A plain .txt file is read as lore; you can add more than one.

Edit Character

Edits apply to this story only — they ride along if you compress & continue, and a new story starts fresh. Leave a field blank to keep the default.

Replace — edit the current description and bio directly.

⚠︎ You need an API key first

This engine runs on your own AI key. One key works in every world engine — you set it up once.

Get a Grok key (recommended):

  1. Go to console.x.ai
  2. Sign in, or make a free account
  3. Click API Keys, then Create API Key
  4. Copy the key. It starts with xai-
  5. Paste it in the API Key box, then press Enter World again

💸 The key runs on tokens (pay-as-you-go) — about $2 gets you hundreds of responses across the world engines.

We make no money from your tokens — they are your fuel to power our engines.

Your key is saved only in your browser. We never see it.
